REMEDY'S CONTROL - System requirements significantly lowered !

Remedy's control needs no introduction, it is one of the most sought after games of today mainly for its visual prowess with Ray-Tracing.

A couple of weeks ago Control's system requirements were releases in the Epic Games website and it seemed like it needed a lot of computing power but that has changed now for the better as Epic Games have officially released their revised minimum and recommended system requirements which is as follows:

As you can see from the the system requirements have been lowered throughout.

The minimum CPU has changed from the Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X to the Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350 and GPU has gone from the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580 to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 / AMD R9 280X.

The recommended specification for the CPU has changed from Intel Core i5-8600k / AMD Ryzen 7 2700 X to the Intel Core i5-7600k / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X while the GPU requirements has been lowered from the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti / AMD Radeon VII to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 / 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580.
Even the requirement to support real time ray tracing has been lowered from Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 2060.

While there has been rumors / speculations that these drop in specs might be due to a possible downgrade, it is now confirmed by Remedy's PR manager that it is not a downgrade. So the game is now better optimized which is great considering that the drop is quite significant relatively.

The game is set to release on the PC , PS4 and the XBox One on August 27 2019.
